Servers now have a 72 hour backup
There is also a weekly backup that takes place every Sunday. On the day the weekly backup runs there is not a daily as it's covered by the weekly. These are incremental backups. So we can safely restore a file or even account from the last 3 days or as far back as the last Sunday of the week.
The backup process starts at 3am EST and usually ends around 6:30am EST. During the backup process the server will always feel "sluggish" as it is writing to disc. For the vast majority of people, this should not be an issue. For those over in England or Europe this may impact them more as it GMT is 8am-11:30am. But should end just before noon and continue smoothly from there.
