Currently investigating installing second drive with data center to setup incremental backups. The old backup system was discontinued by the data center. The old system worked well for years. We attempted to setup a new cloud based offering by the data center but the backup process ran for half a day which is unsatisfactory for server performance. Thus, the second drive for local incremental backups. I will post an update once completed. One note, when the second drive is mounted the server will almost certainly need to be rebooted so there will be a temporary outage once that is done. Then once the initial backup is run, expect some sluggishness on the server while the backup is run backing up accounts. Future backups after that should go quickly as they are incremental and only backup changed files.
